  1. Stayed for a month in Walden cottage which is a nice little place with a good outdoor space, surrounded by lovely leafy streets. A walk to the railway station takes 15 minutes and a walk up to Meads on Granville Road takes around 20 minutes.
It was a bit tricky to get the tv and radiator working, very high tech., but I managed to set it right.
There were small brown ants in the kitchen/bathroom, maybe seasonal problem in springtime.
    Could definitely stay there again.

  2. I stayed at the cottage for 2 weeks in March and again for a week in May. I was travelling with my 3 year old daughter who loved it there. The first time there was a problem with the shower and hot water but the owners got it fixed and put a whole new bigger water tank in and now there is endless hot water and good pressure in the shower. They dealt with the problem as fast as they could and offered me a complimentary week which made up for the cold showers! Ants seem to me a problem now it is getting warmer but first time didn’t see these at all. It’s a really cute cottage which is nicely decorated and very private. The bed is brand new and really comfortable. Haven’t used the sofa bed so can’t comment on that. The radiator is very easy to use once you skim through the instructions and can programme to come on and off at certain times or just use manual if you want to just turn it on and off. In March is was pretty cold still but the lounge was cosy and there is more heating in the bedroom and bathroom if needed so works well for all year round stays. The TV works off Amazon firestick and although I’d not used before soon got used to it. The kitchen is good, the oven works well and is really well equipped with good quality pans and cooking items. The fridge and freezer are a great size and on both occasions I organised a Waitrose delivery for arrival which worked really well. There were a few small inconsistencies between stays – first time a great selection of cleaning products, washing up liquid and for the washing machine too but second time not even washing up liquid which I hadn’t ordered as it was provided the first time. Flowers and biscuits were always waiting on arrival which was a nice touch and milk in the fridge. The garden is really lovely and gets the sun late morning till mid afternoon in May. It is a special place and you can feel at home easily. You can be at the beach in under 10 minutes on foot, town centre in about 15 and Meads village 15-20. There is a bus (number 3) if you want to buzz around a bit that takes you up to Meads or to town centre. Highly recommend staying here as a couple, or with 1 or 2 small children if you don’t mind compact living. The garden is enclosed and set back from the road so you can easily leave little ones to explore without having to watch them all the time. If you want a peaceful holiday that’s close to the beach in a nice area and residential part of Eastbourne then this is a great choice.

  3. A lovely cosy comfortable cottage which it was a joy to stay in. It had everything we needed and was in a very pleasant area.
